Seriously, People

If a baby is wearing a pink shirt and flowers on the jeans, then she's a GIRL!

Abby and I went to the grocery store yesterday and THREE people mentioned what a beautiful boy Abby was. Yeah, cause she's a girl! Finally, a girl in line called her a cute little girl and I thanked her profusely. I mean, Abby is not the girliest girl in the world, especially cause she doesn't have hair, but I always dress her in gender-appropriate clothes, and usually in pink. Oh, and bows only last a few minutes on her head before she pulls them off and eats them.

Don't people know that pink is the universal color for girls? Geez. It didn't used to bother me until it started happening ALL the time.

Ah... I see. I have a kid in my ward that comes up every week and asks if Mary is a boy or a girl. I have just determined that people do not look for the "subtle" clues anymore. Well, I am fairly certain that Abby looks like a girl even without girly clothes on. Strange! And thanks for the tip on the photo editor... I used it today and had a lot of fun with it. :-)

First I have to say I love that picture:) Man! I think she looks like a girl, and pink should be like a neon sign that says GIRL!

OKay, Evan could be wearing a blue thank heaven for little boys outfit and people still ask if he's a boy or a girl! hello stupid people! yes I know what you mean though, it is annoying!

I got that with Aubrey for 2 years because it took that long for her to actually get some hair! I could not believe it. It just makes me be ever aware to take the cues so that I call a boy a boy and a girl a girl.

Well, you would THINK that clothes indicate gender, but about 3 months ago, I told this girl that her boy was really cute. She looked at me strange, and said that it was a girl! This kid was wearing blue overalls with a truck on it and a red shirt! It was dressed in boy clothes!

That's funny because I was Target the other day with Ben and walking past the dressing rooms where an older woman looked over at Ben commenting on how cute he was then I thanked her and overheard her talking to the lady at the dressing room check-in. She said her husband was amazed that she always knew if babies were boys or girls and she said she knew the perfect way, to see how they're dressed. I laughed, but apparently that's not such a common thought if people really don't do that! I also had someone at CVS (who couldn't see Ben in the car seat from where she was standing) ask me if "she" was a good baby. It never ends!

Oh my goodness, I can't tell you how many times people told me what a beautiful baby girl I had. I about smacked em. I absolutely agree... If the kid is wearing gender specific colors, then DUH! And if you can't tell, DON'T SAY ANYTHING!

I know....stupid people :) One day Brooklyn was all in pink and a HUGE bow on her head and this Indian lady was like, "Oh, what a cute little boy. HOw old is he?" I gave her a grimace look and bluntly said, "SHE is 4 months." Honestly, do people think before they speak??? LOL! Cute pic of Abby. So precious!

I have to put in my two cents and tell you that it happens to Maryn all the time too, even though she's wearing pink and flowers as well.
