Heaven Points

If there is such a thing as a point system to get into heaven, I think moms should get double points than everyone else, even Mother Theresa and the Pope. Abby had what we thought was a bad cold the last couple of nights and she felt so bad she was awake most of Saturday and Sunday night. Brian helped out the first night, but since he had to go to work today, I stayed up with her last night. I think I got 4 hours of sleep. We took her to the doc today and she has a sinus infection. Babies get sinus infections??? Mine does I guess. On top of that, since New Year's day, she's had TWO stomach viruses too. Will it ever end? No. Cause soon there will be two babies to care for, and someday more. And with all the sicknesses, broken bones, and broken hearts that we will have to mend, it seems the only reward we get is the satisfaction of raising wonderful children. That's why we deserve extra heaven points.

I totally agree...Evan has the flu...I get up with him at about 3:00 am...on top of that, I am sick too.

I keep hearing this statistic that kids get sick an average of 8 times a year. 8 times??!! That is just ridiculous! I think we moms should protest... or just keep racking up the heaven points... I guess that works too! I hope she feel better soon for you.

Hi Mandie, I like that idea! I think sick kids is my least favorite part of being a mom. Hope everyone is feeling better! -Tara

Man....I hate when Pierce is sick! I hope we get extra points for it!!!! I have to say that since P has turned 3 he has only had a few colds that have never turned into anything bad. And it is SO MUCH easier to take care of them when they are older and sick. They can tell you what is wrong, and snuggle and watch a movie with you! Also my Doc. told me that at age 3 most kids immune systems (you know how they get the anti bodies or something like that from the mom's milk at first) are fully formed so they can fight stuff off much easier. Sorry I didn't explain that very well my brain is not working when I first wake up! So in a few years it will be MUCH easier....I promise! I remember those days/nights though and not with fondness! P also got many sinus infections!

Having sick kids is the worst! Just wait until you have 2 of them vomiting in different parts of the house! At times like those, I am VERY grateful for Danny and the help he gives! Mom's definitely get bonus points for vomit-patrol.
