We found out Thursday morning that Brian's grandfather, Chatley Neil McMurdie, passed away in the night. Both grandparents have not been doing well for a long time so we knew it could be any day when we would get the call. So we all picked up and flew to Utah on Friday morning. This picture of Abby and Grandpa was taken in September. He was such a loving, charitable man and I know everyone will miss him.

We're all sorry to hear about Brian's grandpa. We know how it is though, unfortunately! It's awesome that Abby got to meet him. I remember all those photos we have of our great-grandpas that I don't remember meeting, but am very glad that someone took a picture!
I am sorry to hear the bad news of Grandpa McMurdie's passing. It is great that you have a picture of Abby and her Great-Grandfather together. I am sure she will appreciate the photo when she is older.
Oh, I'm so sorry! But how awesome that you were able to get a darling pic of them before he passed and got to see him quite recently.
