Thanksgiving, Birthday and Callings

We had a pretty great Thanksgiving this year with Brian's family. Six of the eight kids were there with their families, totaling 13 grandkids and 15 adults, so it was very loud most of the time. Abby felt it was necessary to squeal at the top of her lungs like 50% of the time in order to attract attention (sigh...I don't know why) so by the time 7:00 rolled around I was ready to lock myself in a padded room for a while. But it was good to be with family, although I missed my family that day. We'll get to spend Christmas with them though.

Saturday was my birthday and to celebrate, Brian took me to dinner and to see Enchanted. I've been dying to see it and it was a great movie! Amy Adams, whom I've never really heard of before, was AMAZING, and McDreamy was pretty great too! If you love happy movies, this is one you shouldn't miss!

Brian and I both have callings now in our newly restructured ward. I am still the primary music leader, which I am very happy about, and Brian is the first counselor in the EQ presidency. A good call for him and I know he will be great at it. I think its a wonderful opportunity to help build the foundations for a new ward and we're very excited!

Happy Belated Birthday!

13, that's a lot of kids. I can't say I blame Abby for screaming:) I am glad that you had a good thanksgiving.

Anna and I can't wait to see Enchanted! We missed you guys at Thanksgiving, but it was nice to have some sanity at mom's house for a change!

Happy Birthday! I want to see that movie, too! I miss being in your ward! But I'm glad I can catch up through your blog.

Happy belated birthday. I am sorry we did not get to see you but I am glad to hear your thanksgiving went well. And now on to the random fact of the day: Amy Adams is actually an inactive member of the church. Suprisingly there are a number of them running around Hollywood.
