This little old lady is always at the park with her grandaughter when we go play. I don't know her name, but in the little English that she speaks, she insisted that I call her grandma. She always holds Carter for me so that I can play with Abby, and I think its so sweet to see them together.
Something about grandma really touches me. I can only imagine the life that she's had, and if weren't for the language barrier, I would love to sit with her and listen to the stories of her life. Maybe someday, but meanwhile I sit with her in silence as she holds my little pale baby and we watch the kids play.

Mandie, these pictures are gorgeous! You have to give me some pointers in great photogragphy.
And sorry to hear about Carter, hope he starts feeling better soon.
That is so interesting! The contrast between her and Carter is quite striking and makes a great picture.
I remember you telling me about her once but she is even more interesting-looking than I could ever have imagined! You really should keep taking pictures of her! And if you find out any of her life story I bet it's fascinating...
what a sweet story.
Those are wonderful pictures and a great way to honor those memories. It's amazing how children can build bridges and form friendships with people you might never have met otherwise.
When Carter is older, he will be interested to see these pictures. Let me know when he has his MRI and I will see if I can free up the day to come and watch Abby.
sooooo sweet!!!
