We redecorated our mantle this weekend. After painting the mirror first and ugly brown and then black, I decided to go bold and put a silver leaf finish on it. I think it looks kinda cool. Most of the decorations we've purchased at various Ross stores over the months, and the candle sticks are from Tuesday Morning. What do you think? I will gladly take constructive criticism, cuz I'm really bad at mantle decorating.

I'm digging it! I definitely like the mirror better silver than black. It'll look really good around Christmas when you put up your red curtains.
I think it looks great. Have you thought of finding some kind of soft toole-like brown or amber metallic fabric to settle in at the base of the candle sticks and vases?
