One day a few weeks ago, Abby and Carter were both on my lap as I was working on the computer. This happens a lot, and it usually ends with them fighting over the mouse and scrolling to look at pictures of family and such. So that day I gave up, and decided to teach Abby how to use the computer. I found a toddler website and with Brian's help, she was surfing the site in no time.
And now I'm fighting my three-year-old for computer time......I just can't believe how fast she's growing up!
Question though, does anyone know of a site with toddler appropriate material that shuts out the rest of the computer so they can't access anything else while they're on that site? And maybe something that disables the right click would be nice too.

My daughter started on the computer about a year ago. We just use standard equipment, my husband got her a small pink mouse that is easier for her tiny hands. She's only limited by her reading ability. We like barbie.com and playhousedisney.com for her. You might want to try one of those kid keyboard and mouse set ups. I've never used one for my kid, but I think the mouse only has one button.
Starfall.com is a wonderful site- it is all geared for preschoolers and reading. There is an alphabet section for 3-4 year olds, and a beginning reading section for older kids.
Kidzui.com it locks your kids in so they can't even get out of the site without a password. it provides thousands of kids sites & you can personalize it just for her. check it out! hope it helps!
