Carter had his MRI today to diagnose the source of his hearing loss. It will give us a better idea of what we're dealing with and if it's degenerative or not. Everything went really smoothly and Carter handled everything really well. We won't know the results until we meet with his ENT, so hopefully we'll meet with him in the next week or two.
Here's Carter on the MRI machine. When the machine is resting, it makes this crazy dmm-tss dmm-tss dmm-tss noise that sounds a lot like a techno beat. When they're running the actual tests, its really loud (we had to wear ear plugs) and made a lot of different sets of abnoxious noises. It was really interesting.
Here's Carter in recovery. It took him a while to wake up from his little cocktail they gave him. I think it's funny how his robe matches his skin. I didn't realize how... peach.... he was until today.

That looks so scary! But he looks like he did great. And he is super adorable. Keep us posted on the results!
He looks like Abby in that last picture! I am glad they sedated him. I am certain there is no other way but it would be heartbreaking if they did not! You guys are awesome!
Ahhhhhh. That must have been a rough long day for both of you. So glad it went well though. Poor lil' boy that is a LONG time to fast for a baby!!!!
That tiny hospital gown is so funny! I'm glad it went well!
I hate it when they schedule babies and small toddler sedations for the afternoon. The poor kids are starving and can't figure out why in the world mom is being so mean and not giving them the food that they so DESPERATELY need. I'm glad you made it through alright. I was very glad to have Michael by my side 'cause it was hard for me with Patrick.
awe that is sad:(
I will keep little carter in my prayers. he is probably the cutest bald baby ever :)
I hope everything turns out okay.
I am sure you are releived that the MRI is over. I hope the test is conclusive and taht all is well. I will be looking for your update.
He looks so precious all bundled up and zonked! Bless his little heart! It looks like he went through it all like a little champ.
