My mom is the queen of junking. She finds the greatest things in the craziest places. This time, she found a little slide next to a dumpster. Knowing that I was desperate for something my kids can play on in the backyard, she eyed it for a couple of days and then asked the owners if she could have it. They happily loaded it into her car, and she power washed it and then drove 50 miles to bring it to us. She even attached a Dora balloon.
My mom is the most thoughtful person I know; always going out of her way and sacrificing her time and energy for her family. I am so grateful for my Mom. For her strength, her character, her friendship, and her devotion to her family. Oh, and for her great junking skills too.

Ok, so I haven't been on blogs for a couple of weeks. I had a lot to catch up on yours and wondering why you weren't in Dubai after just telling Josh that story. And then I read it was off so there's my answer. Bummer, but I'm glad you have such an adventurous and positive attitude. You're a flexible girl and I like that about you, not to mention spontaneous :) Glad all is going well. Your kids are growing so quickly!
We do have the best mom, don't we?? I think the Dora balloon was a nice touch! I still can't believe she drove that truck all the way up there! She really must love us!
Vunderbar! (with German accent) I love finding things for sale or for free. I have to admit that I saw a queen size bed and box springs that had been deposited by our garbage area and eyed it for several days until I found it was sitting in a puddle. Hmmm.
She is a great mom! Looks like it cleaned up nicely.
