I am addicted to children's resale shops.
Yeah, and I'm proud of it too. It all started a few years ago when I was introduced to Divine Consign. It's a huge semi-annual consignment sale and you can get some really good stuff there. I missed the last one in the fall, and I was a little upset about it because around the same time I was noticing that Abby and Carter seemed to be wearing the SAME clothes as other kids their age, because we all shop at the same places. (ahem, a.k.a. Target) I mean, I don't mind my kids wearing the same clothes as everyone else, but it is nice to have a little individuality. So I checked out Once Upon a Child and Kid to Kid and now I'm hooked.
For example, The outfit that Abby wore on her first day of school is all from resale shops, except the shoes. Gymboree Shirt - $4, Genuine Kids Sweater - $6, JCrew Jeans - $8 (normally $50!)

I just saw your comment this morning :) I'm sorry to hear you had the same experience initially. It's frustrating, isn't it! But, at least you knew what was going on the second time around. I can't wait to read your blog in a bit (I promised the boys I'd treat them to breakfast out- I may regret that-LOL (in fact, I KNOW I'll regret that).
That is such a deal! Maybe I'll have to go and check them out. I used to a lot of consignment shopping in Utah but not so much here. You'll have to call me the next time you go.
That's a great deal. I will have to give them a try. We do usually stay to Target.
I went to Divine Consign in the fall. I went on the half price day and got so much stuff for Levi. The next one is in March and I can't wait.
I know what you mean, I love those stores. Especially for church clothes for boys. They are so hard to find at stores unless you are there during easter or christmas. I'm a big fan! Why would anyone want to pay regular price when you get the exact same thing for a fraction of the price. And most of them have tags too!
Right with ya there sister!! I don't think I've paid full price for anything except for the "bringing the baby home from the hospital" outfit for the both of them.
