Three days ago I was putting Abby to bed and I couldn't find her pacifier anywhere. Brian and I combed the house looking for one (I mean, she has 3 or 4 of them) and we couldn't find a single one. So I took Abby into her room, read her a book, and then looked at her and said, "Abby, you're paci went bye-bye." I held my breath and braced myself for the worst. But instead of crying and insisting we find it, she looked at me, cocked her head to the side, scrunched her face up and nodded in sympathetic understanding. "Paci went bye-bye?" she said. "Yes, paci is gone," I replied. And with another nod she crawled into bed, rolled over into her "tuck me in" position, hugged Gigi, and closed her eyes as I kissed her goodnight.
She hasn't asked for it since.
Bye-Bye paci.

Lucky!!
But it was about time, wouldn't you say? ;)
Really cute Oreo pics by the way!
Awesome! Way to go Abby!
Wow that was easy! You're lucky! I've been going to the gym just different times each day like today & tomorrow I'm going about 6pm with Ben since he's done with work by then but on wed I'm planning on going in the morning probably 10ish. So I'll check if there's a class we could go to wed am you usually go around 10ish right?
Consider yourself lucky! De-pacifying was hard for us over here.
Wow, what a champ. Hmmm what could turn up missing now? J/K
What a trooper! But, it totally reminded of my experience w/ Emily (my fiesty dd). I intentionally cut up all of her binkies (because she was unreasonable, and insisted she still needed them, and someone told me if they were 'broken' she'd move on). Background- for the 6 months prior we *did* seem to be going through a lot of them. Anyway- so we 'broke' them, and she kept coming out w/ a new one. She finally fessed up that she had a private stash in the back corner of her closet....I had to laugh!
That is awesome! We've got a pacifier lover over here with Sydnee. I only hope it is as easy with her as it was for Abby.

That is great. My kids would never take them, but I have heard horror stories about trying to get rid of them. Count your blessings.
Reminds me of when Mandie was abouat 18 months or 2 and her pacifier disintegrated while we were on vacation. She was very picky and Mom couldn't find another one like it, and she wouldn't take the substitute, so that was the end of the binky. (Don't you hate having older sisters?!) Although, I totally love the story of the closet stash so much better!
That's sound to easy, I have to do it with Veeka soo and i really don't think I am going to be that lucky! Let's get together next week, do you have any plans?
Did you find the pacifiers yet? Funny where you may have left them. But anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to the both of you.
