Did you know that PBS has a new version of The Electric Company airing this month? I can't wait to see what it's like! It brought back memories of some of the other shows that I used to watch as a kid. For some reason, I always remember a show about a manequin that came to life and a mouse and some other jumbled up memories, but when I ask people if they remember anything like that, they look at me like I'm crazy. So I did some research and found the show I was thinking about. It's called Today's Special. Anyone remember it, or did I just really date myself? Anyway, view the video below if you need a reminder. Okay, I totally remember this show! I would do the same thing....ask people if they remember a show about a mannequin that came alive and people would look at me weird. I'm glad I'm not the only one that remembers.
That is so great! I totally loved that show when I was little. I always wanted to have a little house like Muffy did. I also remember having some kind of attraction to the mannequin Jeff...it must have been the name :-).

Still adds to my argument that most kids TV shows from the late 70s and early 80s were made by people on drugs! I mean seriously with some of that stuff??

I found this really funny list of the creepiest kids shows on tv. A little bit of questionable language but still funny, and makes some valid observations in my opinion!

I never saw that show, but I did love The Electric Company. I saw the commercial for the new one while I was home for Christmas break. I can't wait to watch it with the girls.
You need to put that sidebar thing as a full post because that story is. HILARIOUS. She's hilarious. I HATE NPR, HATE IT, but I'll throw them a bone for that. She is so funny.
We love your blog...great pictures, too. yes, I remember that show. Do you remember Morgan Freeman on that show? That's my most vivid memory of it.
