You ever play that game at your house?
You know, when you're scouring the house looking for the keys/favorite toy/other shoe/remote that your son/daughter/spouse/imaginary friend misplaced, trying to get into the mind of the person that lost it, thinking where they could have put it, looking in every conceiveable place to no avail?
I mean, our house is not very big, and we've already established the fact that there's not much clutter in the way. But somehow, my family, especially Carter, wanders off with something and the next thing you know its been a week and you still can't find the DVR remote. (Have you ever been without your remote for a week? We watched a lot less TV for sure.) Yesterday it took me 10 minutes of tearing apart the living room to find the car keys Carter was playing with. I was late picking up Abby from school because of it. And today, he's managed to misplace his favorite little motorized train. Oh, how I wish he could tell me where he put it. I think I might go insane if this keeps up.

I've found my keys in the bathtub, toys in the microwave, and clothing randoming strewn in the backyard. And don't get me started on losing remotes...I'm right there with you.
I swear, we do this every day! Nolan is always misplacing his cup, and I loathe finding a cup with sour milk stashed under the sofa. We spend much of our day hunting down the missing "bup" (his word for cup). OY!
We're still missing Trey's implant from close to a year ago.......Luckily there is a one time loss/replacement deal.

Funny thing is when you actually have to move to a new house, you will find things where you would never look or forgotten you were missing it. You'll think about it and laugh about it then you will purge it!!!!!
When Kim was small, maybe 2 1/2, we kept loosing track of things until we found 'her' stash. She had comandeered a lower cabinet in the kitchen and she had stashed food items, like a package of dried spaghetti and something each of owned and other treasures. Bryan did the same thing. He put everything in his drawer. We could never figure out how each thing was chosen. But we were sure glad when we figured it out so we knew where to look!
Cooper went through this phase where he was throwing everything away-clothes, toys, shoes, DVDs etc. We got to the point where if something was missing, we would go to the trash and there it was. Unfortunatley we didn't realize the remote was missing until the trash had already been taken out.
