I'm the social committee chairman for our homeowners association, and a few years back I got the wild idea to host a 5K run in our community. We started small, but this year we have pulled out all the stops, with sponsorships, a certified course and a professional race timing service. It's like a part-time job with no pay, but I like it. I think I must be crazy for doing it though.

That is so amazing! What an enormous amount of work it must have took! congrats!
That's great. I am in charge of the one for our school, but it is very low key. I can't imagine how much time must go into a big one.
