When I was pregnant with Carter, so many people told me that there is a special bond between mothers and their sons thats different than the relationship between mother and daughter. Well I didn't believe them, and I certainly didn't understand it, but now I do.
I don't want to go as far as saying that all baby boys are more cuddly than girls, because I definitely don't think that's true. But Carter is SO sweet and SO cuddly and there's just something about him that steals my heart away. I love my children equally as much, but unlike Abby, Carter is a genuine momma's boy, and I love it!
Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

THose CHEEKS!!!!! I know P has always been a Mama's boy--but I don't have anything to compare it to?! P still likes to cuddle and still needs Mommy time:)
I was going to say the same thing, I love love love my little Ben but have no idea what it's like to have a girl! I know it's different though. The same difference between a father and son and a father and daughter.
You need to post more pics form this shoot, pretty please??
Thank you! And come one! The smiley one with the dimple... GOODNESS!!
That was supposed to say "come on." Haha.
I have two boys, but Ben has always been a mama's boy. He is my cuddle bug.
I know what you mean. I've been afraid to admit it for fear of playing favorites, but I think the bond is different. Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that Patrick DOES look like me where Rebekah really doesn't.
Ethan has always been very independent and not a bit cuddly. Dallas is the opposite and although it's a little challenging at times since he's more needy, I hope that he's always such a momma's boy. Of course, I love both my boys equally but I know what you mean.
I have to say, though I have two boys, that I love them very differently. One is a mover and a shaker and the other is 100% lover. I haven't had a daughter yet, so I don't know if its different. All I know is that the bonds between me and my children, though equally strong, are very unique. so i'm feelin' ya!
I heard the same comments when I was pregnant, too. I wasn't sure I believed all that about boys and their momma's, but I think I'm starting to believe it now, too! My little gorilla is definitely a snuggler with me!
OH. MY. GOSH. HE IS SO FREAKIN CUTE I CAN HARDLY STAND IT.
Mandy, I stumbled across your blog while searching for stuff on the internet. I have to admit that although I have four sons, I don't know what that special bond is. I love them until they are about two and the "man-child" comes out. (This is Stephanie Probst)
