You can see it started out so innocently. She did so well coloring on the green post-it note. But that little devil that lives on her shoulder popped up and said, "Hey Abby! Look at all this beautiful white space for you to draw on! I bet Mommy and Daddy would love to see your beautiful artwork all over it!" And Abby, being so eager to impress her parents, gave into temptation. The angel on her other shoulder must have been on break.
But I really can't give the little devil all the credit. I mean, it really was a group effort for her to achive this. I left the door to the closet with the markers open, and Brian peeked his head in to check on her and thought she was playing with her toys. Psh. Yeah.
So I've tried those magic erasers. Didn't budge. The internet said to try hand sanitizer. It took off the first layer so now part of it is a pretty purple. I've also tried nail polish remover, wich is smearing it all over the place but seems to be working. There are a few more things to try before we give up, so we'll see. Our dilema is that it's oil based paint, and if we repainted, it would smell for literally weeks, and Abby would have to sleep in another room, and it's just crazy...
I'm going to bed.

Two miles, nice, Mandie!
Your post was so funny. That's why you're not supposed to rain at night sista! If I knew how to get rid of the marker without having to paint over it I'd tell you but I have NO IDEA!!
If I have time I'll do some googling for you!
Good luck with the marker! I have no idea what would get it off!
Hence, why I have never used oil-based paint:) Good luck! That's also why I could never exercise at night!
go mandie on the 2 miles....that's more then i have done in 2.5 years! oh and the markers. tyler and his friend reed did that one night they were over playing. all over his little ikea table. luckily it wiped right off. good luck!
matthew g is molly.
I'm sorry, I can't stop laughing! Have you tried hairspray or straight alcohol? Way to go on the running!
What if you painted over it with White Out? It might only be a temporary fix, but who's going to look close enough to know besides you? :)
I might be stupid but why can't you just paint over with latex paint for a temp. fix---I know the whites might not be dead on---but I doubt anyone would notice!
Charcoal lighter fluid takes off crayon. Why not give it a try!
