welcome to mommyhood

I am officially a mom now.

So we got a 2007 Kia Sedona with 20K miles on it. It was a rental before and someone got a little happy with the cigarette lighter. Also, the car smelled fine when we got the car, but now after a week I smell a hint of cigarette smoke and it's driving me crazy. Other than that, it's roomy, has some great features, drives great and we love it.

Nice wheels, girl! Not to worry about the smell -Febreze works wonders. YAY for you! I know it is a big pill to swallow. I think you will love it. It looks REALLY nice.

Getting a minivan is a hard adjustment. I know that Patrick had to give up his jeep when we got ours. It really makes you feel old, but you will love the space. Just wait for your first long road trip. We had several 13 hour days in ours this month, and the space kept the girls from killing each other.

When I got my car, it had more than a hint of cigarette smell. I tried Febreeze, but it only took the smell out temporarily, so I got an odor absorbing air freshener (one made specifically for cigarettes) and after 2 weeks the smell was gone forever. Yay!

In any case, congrats on the new car!

CONGRATS! I LOVE our van...I never had a hard time adjusting! The space and function can compare to nothing when you have little kiddos!

I'm jealous. We've made a pact in our home that says we can't have any more kids until we can afford a minivavn. However, once we get the darn thing, I think we'll high-tail it until we're done having kids.

Careful--it was when we got our minivan that we had kid # 7 to fill it up! Actually, I guess I should be careful, since we just bought a 9-passenger suburban!
