relief. society.

The bishop called me into his office a few weeks ago and said even though I had only served in nursery for five months, he felt prompted to release me and call me to be the relief society pianist. Now, although I will accept and serve in any position with enthusiasm, I was having a really hard time liking nursery, so I was SO excited for the change. I love being in relief society and being back in a musical calling. YAY!

That is always such a scary moment when you are called in and you just KNOW that it is a new calling and all the possibilities start running through your head. I am glad it worked out to be something you are excited about. I have had nightmares (literally, where I woke up breathing heavy) of being called to do things I REALLY didn't want to do and was totally unqualified for. You will do a great job in RS. They are lucky to have you.

that awesome that you are excited about your new calling. i am always a little nervous when I know they want to sit down and talk because you know you are about to receive a new calling.

Congrats on getting to be with big people! And having an excuse to practice playing the piano.

Don't feel bad, I haven't ever heard of anyone who really liked being in the nursery. You will like it with the adults.

I love relief society too. It's nice to be "fed" on Sundays sometimes, instead of being the "feeder".

Hey Mandy, Well I found your blog like you said. I know what you mean about nursery. Now you can talk to adults!

Hi Mandy! Yes, we moved in the middle of July back to Utah. I have also been blog-stalking you for awhile. It is so fun to read your posts and look at the cute pictures you take of your kids. I haven't received a calling yet in my new ward but I hear rumors than one is one the way...that makes me nervous. Enjoy Relief Society!
